The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) is pleased to report that with the passage of House Bill 39 in May 2023, the 33rd Alaska State Legislature approved and appropriated $17 million, funding 18 projects recommended by AEA and approved by the Renewable Energy Fund Advisory Committee (REFAC). AEA would like to thank the Governor and Legislature for their continued recognition of the Renewable Energy Fund's (REF) efficacy in promoting the integration of renewable energy projects within the statewide energy portfolio, and its strong support of the REF program.
