The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) is pleased to have submitted its Round 17 Renewable Energy Fund (REF) recommendations to the 34 th Alaska Legislature for consideration of funding in the Fiscal Year 2026 capital budget. AEA’s Round 17 project recommendations comprise a total of 18 recommended projects with a total funding request of $22.1 million. Any and all funding is at the full discretion of the Legislature. Funding appropriated by the Legislature for projects selected for funding will be noted in a REF capital item appropriation in the Fiscal Year 2026 capital budget. Such grant funds will become effective as of July 1, 2025. A copy of the list of AEA’s REF Round 17 recommended projects list is provided below.
