Alaska Rural Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Deployment

The Alaska Rural Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Deployment (ARED) project aims to reduce barriers to entry to electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Alaskan communities across all energy regions. This will include identification of hub communities for equipment installation, to be selected based on community interest and existing grid infrastructure, along with an extensive outreach period to engage communities, and identify opportunities for support. The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) and its partners will work together to advance beneficial electrification in rural and underserved communities that present an interest and a strong use case for the adoption of EV technologies.
