The Alaska Energy Authority and FreeWire Technologies Unveil Alaska’s First Ultrafast Electric Vehicle Charging Station

(Homer) — The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) and FreeWire Technologies, a leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging and power solutions, will host a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on September 23 at AJ’s OldTown Steakhouse & Tavern in Homer, Alaska to commemorate the commissioning of the first of nine EV fast-charging stations to be installed on a statewide network and the very first ultrafast EV charger in Alaska. AEA’s goal is to implement a fully operational fast-charging corridor by the Summer of 2022.

AEA Awards Nearly $1 Million for Nine EV Fast-Charging Stations

(Anchorage) — The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) awarded nearly $1 million in grants to support the installation of eight Level 2 (L2) electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging stations and 15 Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) stations at nine locations across Alaska.

AEA Completes Acquisition of Homer Electric Association’s 115-kV Transmission Line

(Anchorage) – The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) today has completed its previously announced acquisition of a Homer Electric Association (HEA) transmission asset for $17 million that runs between the Sterling Substation and the Quartz Creek Substation (SSQ Line) on Kenai Lake.

AEA Awarded $21 Million BUILD Grant for Anchorage Airport Project
